Back in June of 2024, Philip Emmett and I had a conversation. I was asked if Orange Tree could transform the overgrown car park and make it more welcoming for customers and visitors.
I got to work on the car park before and after my daily Orange Tree work. With late summer evenings and an empty car park after 6pm, most of the clearance was completed in a week.
Philip allowed me to make a plan for landscaping the car park with seven possible flowerbeds and there was scope for an extravagant beautiful garden....

Then I started getting on top of the hedges at the front:
The overgrown fenced tree line was cleared of weeds and old sapplings, lots of bind weed and rocks Then I planted various different climbers, in time creating a wall of various climbing flowers, fruit and colour. The Garden Car Park is constantly changing.

Pop down and visit the Orange Tree Show Garden at Emmetts Farm Shopping Village.
They're open Mondays 9:00am-4:30pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays 9:00 am–5:00 pm and Sundays 10:00 am–2:30 pm.
